For the very first time, I visited Aveiro. Once again, it took a fitness event to bring me to another beautiful place in Portugal.
From Lisbon to Aveiro, the trip took just over two hours. The weather was perfectâbright sunshine and blue skies.
As soon as I arrived, my goal was to see as many places as possible, because the next day, Iâd be focused on the main reason for my visit: Portugal Fit 2024.
And what a BEAUTIFUL city! And such kind people!
I took some photos of the buildings, passed by the famous âPeixinhoâ pastry shop and decided to leave the “ovos moles” for the end of the trip.
I headed straight to the moliceiro boat tour. I was warmly welcomed by the friendly guide, Tony (you can see him in the photo), and made myself comfortable on the boat. If youâre scared of boat ridesâdonât be. Itâs safe, calm and such a relaxing way to see the city.
I LOVED the ride and Tonyâs explanations. It was fascinating to see the contrast between the old and modern parts of the city.
If youâre visiting Aveiro and looking for a reliable boat tour, I highly recommend Aveiro Emotions. They offer a fantastic experience!
I was truly enchanted by everything I saw. I REALLY enjoyed the boat ride.
Next, I headed to Costa Nova beach. I was curious, and I was blessed with beautiful weather that allowed me to have lunch on the huge rocks, listening to the sound of the sea and feeling the ocean breeze. What a delight đ!
After that, I decided to check in at the hotel and rest a bit.
I stayed at the MeliĂŁ Ria Hotel. As I entered the room, I was greeted with a lovely settingâfrom the bathroom to the detail of a small recycling-friendly trash bin đđž.
But the best part? The view from my room. Absolutely STUNNING!
The night was peaceful and refreshing, just what I needed to be in top form for the next dayâs exciting adventure: PORTUGAL FIT 2024.
P.S. Remember how I left the “ovos moles” for last? Well⌠after hearing so many recommendations about Aveiroâs famous sweetsâeven my nutritionist âallowedâ me to eat themâI completely forgot to go to âPeixinhoâ to buy them! It was only when I was nearly back in Lisbon that I realized the CATASTROPHE: visiting Aveiro and not tasting its iconic ovos moles đ¤Śđžââď¸
But hey, if something quirky doesnât happen, is it even a real trip? đ Now thereâs only one solution: Iâll just have to go back! And Iâll do it with PLEASURE. What a lovely city! đĽ°
