Meet Suzike, the Woman Behind BySuzike

I am Suzike, a fitness reviewer, teacher, and mother over 40. BySuzike is where I share honest reviews of fitness classes, events, home gym workouts, and the products and tools I actually use, so you can make better decisions about how you move and train.
Everything I write comes from lived experience. The classes I take, the events I attend, the equipment I test, the days I push through, and the days my body says no. I write from inside the experience, not above it.
For years, I have been training consistently while managing a full life as a teacher and a solo mother. I know what it means to fit fitness around real responsibilities, to walk into a class not knowing what to expect, and to wish someone had just told you the truth about what it actually feels like.
That is why I created BySuzike. There is plenty of polished fitness content online. What is harder to find is a structured, honest account from someone who takes the classes as a student, pays attention to the details, and explains what another woman in her 40s might actually experience.
My background in teaching shapes how I write. I think in terms of clarity, structure, and usefulness. My experience as a mother keeps me honest about what realistic fitness looks like. And my years of consistent training give me something to compare everything against.

A Little More About Me
I am Portuguese, I live in Lisbon, and I have been training consistently for years across group fitness classes, home sessions, and outdoor movement. I teach, I raise my daughter, and I fit fitness into a life that does not pause for it.
I care about clarity and honest experience more than polished fitness perfection. I protect my daughter’s privacy, so you will not find her at the centre of my content, but she is part of why I keep showing up.
