Power walk for weight loss with hills – Day 13

🔥 Power Walk Weight Loss Breakdown

Yesterday was my birthday! I turned 46 — or, as we say back home, “nine out, one left.” If you know the “nines out” rule, you’re probably laughing right now. Basically… I turned one. A baby again! 😄

So, as any good baby would do, I took the day off from training. No workouts, no guilt. I did stick to my low carb eating though — because this is a lifestyle, not a phase.

Today started with a visit to my dad (the man of my life ❤️). And after that, I went out for a power walk for weight loss session.

I’ve decided to hit pause on running for now. I’m not risking another injury. Until I’m working with someone who knows what they’re doing, I’ll keep it safe. Power walking is a great option — especially when it includes hills and stairs. I love those. My legs? Maybe not so much. 😁

This 8-second video was filmed during today’s power walk. It’s not about how long — it’s about how present we are. Listen closely: birds, footsteps, and a little sunshine kiss at the end.

🔥 The walk itself? Solid.

I started with a 5-minute warm-up — nothing fancy, just moving the joints, breathing, waking up the body. Then came 25 minutes of walking, switching between normal pace and faster bursts. And let me tell you — the fast ones were no joke.

I used my arms to help drive the movement and keep my posture in check. I could feel the effort in my legs, especially on the inclines. That sweet mix of burning thighs and mild regret. Love it.

By the end, I wrapped it all up with nearly 8 minutes of cool down and stretching. Calm breathing, relaxed pace, just letting everything settle.

I was sweating, yes — and proud. This was not a lazy stroll. It was a proper session.

💬 Reflections on My Power Walk

I really enjoyed this workout. It felt productive, and I was honestly proud of myself for showing up.

Power walking might not be the final solution, but for now, it’s a solid replacement for running — and I’m burning a decent amount of calories while I’m at it. Win-win.

More than that, it gave me space to think. I reflected on my life, my work, a bunch of ideas popped into my head, and I actually enjoyed the weather for once instead of rushing through it.

And the best part? I left that walk with one clear thought:
I freaking love training.

Here’s another glimpse of my morning power walk. The sound of footsteps and birds says it all.

No filters. Just steps, sunshine, and a kiss to the journey.
