The main difficulty I have with the keto diet is not being able to eat rice and pasta. Not to mention, potatoes, plantain, etc.

Fortunately, there are alternatives and some mimic pretty well foods that contain too many carbs. Cabbage is one of them. I eat it with meat and fish. It tastes good and is quite fulfilling.

This recipe is quite simple, with only 3 ingredients plus seasoning, that may vary from person to person.

I like to freeze cabbage, to have it ready for use whenever I’m in hurry.

HOW TO MAKE KETO FRIED CABBAGE

  1. Cut the cabbage into stripes and red onion in small pieces.



2. In a wok, melt the butter, in medium heat. Add cabbage and onion. Season with salt and pepper. Cook for 5 to 7 minutes, stirring from time to time.



3. Serve as a side dish for meat or fish, or as a main course. Enjoy!

  • 50g of unsalted butter

  • salt and pepper to taste
