Today we celebrate another year of your life, my dear Felisberta.
Time has passed quickly. Too quickly. Sometimes it feels like I blinked and suddenly you were no longer the baby I once held in my arms, but a young girl with her own presence, her own rhythm, her own way of being in the world.
The love I feel for you did not arrive quietly. It arrived all at once, intense and overwhelming, mixed with fear, responsibility and a deep awareness that my life had changed forever. Becoming your mother transformed me in ways I could never have imagined.
This post is written from a mother’s heart, and meant to be read slowly.
The Day You Changed My Life
The day you were born was the day I discovered what true strength really means. Love at first sight exists, but it is not the romantic version people talk about. It is raw, protective and deeply vulnerable at the same time.
Holding you for the first time, I understood that life would never be about me alone again. Every decision, every fear, every hope suddenly had your name attached to it. You made me braver, even on days when I felt fragile.
You changed my priorities. You changed my perspective. You changed me.

What You Have Taught Me
You have taught me lessons no book could ever explain.
Through you, I learned that challenges do not define who we are. The way we respond to them does. I learned patience in moments of uncertainty, resilience when things felt heavy, and humility in accepting that not everything is under my control.
Motherhood is not about having all the answers. It is about showing up, again and again, even when you are tired, unsure or afraid. And through this journey, you have taught me how to do exactly that.

Growing Together Through Life
These years have been filled with love, tenderness, learning and growth. Not only for you, but for me as well.
We have grown together. We have adapted. We have learned to navigate life as a team. You showed me that progress does not need to be rushed and that every path has its own timing.
Your presence taught me to slow down and truly notice the small moments. The quiet ones. The ordinary ones. The ones that matter most.

What I Wish for You
My wish for you is peace, not perfection.
I wish you health, happiness and the freedom to be exactly who you are, without needing to fit into anyone else’s expectations. I wish you confidence rooted in self-acceptance and a life guided by your own rhythm.
You are enough exactly as you are. Always.

I Will Always Be Here
No matter how much time passes, no matter how much you grow, one thing will never change. I will always be here.
Walking beside you when you need guidance. Standing behind you when you need support. Stepping back when you need space, but never leaving your side.
Being your mother is the greatest role of my life. One I carry with pride, humility and endless love.
