This Turkey Leg recipe is simple to do and very tasty. Seasoning turkey may be tricky, but with the right ingredients it becomes very delicious. As always, I like to cook the meat first on the stove before putting it in the oven.

If you’re doing keto, cauliflower rice or keto fried cabbage will be ideal as side dishes. Otherwise, couscous, rice, potatoes, pasta will be great additions to this recipe.

How to make Turkey Legs

Season the turkey legs with lemon juice, salt, black pepper, cumin and coriander, preferably, the previous night. I like to season meat and fish the previous night. In my experience, they taste much better, because there’s time to absorve the seasoning really well.

Put the turkey leg into a pan, add onion, green pepper, carrots, olive oil, tomato sauce and some water to cook the meat (not too much). Cook for 1 hour in low/medium heat.

Preheat the oven to 392 degrees F. Bake the turkey legs in a baking dish for 30 minutes.
