Come along for a simple morning routine at home with me. Nothing complicated, just the usual sequence of things I do before the day actually starts: bathroom routine, breakfast for two, coffee, and a workout I genuinely look forward to.

I filmed it exactly as it happened, which means there’s nothing polished about it. Just a normal morning at home, from getting ready to breakfast, coffee, and Body Balance.

Starting My Morning in the Bathroom

I start with the basics: brush my teeth, pat my face dry. Nothing revolutionary yet.

Then I apply toner, and while I give it a minute to actually absorb, I do my hair. Twists up into a ponytail, done in about ten seconds because I’ve had a lot of practice.

Once the toner has done its thing, I finish the rest of my skincare. And then, the step I will never, ever skip, deodorant.

People, please, never ever forget the deodorant.

Breakfast for Two

I made this the night before, for Felisberta and me. Papaya, yogurt, oats, all prepped and sitting in the fridge so morning-me doesn’t have to think about anything except pouring it into a bowl and mixing it together.

Then I make my coffee, because breakfast without coffee isn’t really breakfast in my book.

That’s it. No recipe, no ratios, just a bowl of something good that was already done before I woke up.

Body Balance at Home

Breakfast done, coffee in hand, and then I move into the living room for Body Balance. This is the part of the morning I look forward to the most.

Body Balance is my favorite class, and I love being able to do it at home. I’ve written more about doing Body Balance at home here: Body Balance 102 Workout: Morning Recovery, Strength and Flexibility at Home.

By the end, there’s really only one way to describe it. Ahhh… such bliss.
