This was one of those mornings when we had a few little things to do, and somehow they filled the whole morning. Come with me and Felisberta for a morning out in Portugal as we visit my dad, stop at the playground, check the car tires, do some grocery shopping, and laugh far more than necessary.

Getting Ready for Our Morning Out in Portugal
I picked a comfy outfit for the day, since this was one of those mornings packed with lots of little stops.
What I Wore
I kept my outfit comfortable and simple because this was one of those mornings with several little stops. I wore a black top and leggings from Amazon, a red Marks & Spencer shirt, black Clarks ballet flats, and my black Kipling bag.
For accessories, I wore my Michael Kors watch, earrings from Amazon, and a few vintage bracelets from my collection.

Starting the Morning with Family
Our first stop was a visit to my dad. It was a short but meaningful stop. Felisberta absolutely adores her granddad, and he had her full attention the whole time.
A Quick Stop at the Playground
First stop at the playground: the fountain. Mind you, she had a full bottle of water waiting for her in the car, but apparently, this fountain just hits differently.
Then it was on to the swing, and three minutes later she was already heading back to the car.
A Very Normal, but Necessary, Car Check
This one wasn’t glamorous, but it’s part of a real morning: checking and inflating the car tires. The process is simple:
- Check the recommended tire pressure for your vehicle.
- Enter the values into the machine.
- Inflate the tires.
- Wash your hands.
- Go.
Practical note: Always use the tire pressure recommended for your specific vehicle. You’ll usually find it inside the driver’s door, in the owner’s manual, or in the manufacturer’s information. Don’t rely on a number from someone else’s car, since it varies by vehicle and tire.
A Quick Grocery Run at Pingo Doce
What We Picked Up
- Roast chicken
- Two rissóis
- Felisberta’s favorite bread
- Babybel cheese
- Corn cakes
- Rosé wine
Not exactly the healthiest grocery run: roast chicken and two rissóis. I told myself I’d eat one today and save the other for tomorrow. Who am I kidding? Today was definitely the day to eat both.
I also picked up a bottle of rosé. I really like rosé. My friend Xandinha got me into it. Thanks, girl!
Her Favorite Part of Grocery Shopping
At the self-checkout, Felisberta proudly helped scan everything herself. Scanning the groceries turns an ordinary supermarket trip into a very important job, and she is always proud to help.
Two Crazy Girls Having Their Moment
Somewhere between the supermarket and getting home, the morning turned into an unofficial dance session in the garage. Laughing, a little dancing, and for a few seconds, absolutely nothing else mattered.
Back Home
After our little garage dance session, we took the elevator upstairs, made it home, and put our shoes away. And just like that, our morning out was officially over.
A Simple Morning, but a Full One
Nothing extraordinary happened. We visited my dad, stopped at the playground, sorted out the car tires, bought groceries, laughed a lot, and came home. Just a very normal morning with Felisberta, and honestly, I loved it.
