Back to Swimming
Felisberta went back to swimming this week, so this is a little piece of our week that I wanted to keep here.
It started with the usual routine: getting everything ready, packing the bag, getting ourselves dressed and out of the house, and heading to the pool. She was so happy to be going back. You can see it all over her face.
The first day gave us a bit more work. The second day, though, was completely different. She settled in much better, did what she was supposed to do and the whole lesson went really well. Her swimming instructor even let her have some time to play in the water at the end, which, of course, she loved.
These are the little changes that make me happy. Sometimes it is not about something huge happening. It is simply seeing that something that was difficult one day was already easier the next.
And then we got back in the car…
“Mom, please change the music.”
Again.
And again. Apparently my taste in music is constantly under review.
Then, once we got home, she decided that I was the one who needed teaching. I had left my sneakers by the shoe cabinet and she immediately started putting them away properly.
Basically: swimming lesson for Felisberta, shoe-organizing lesson for Mom.
A very normal week in our house.
Here’s a little glimpse of it:
