Happy New Year 2026 message, filmed on December 31st from my bed, fully in lazy holiday mode. I have to be honest, I have been lazy these last days, and I do not regret it.

I haven’t been working out properly, I ate a lot of chocolate, and I let myself breathe. I did keep one thing going though. I walked with my daughter several times during these holidays, and that counts.

If you need a gentle reset idea, here’s one of our walks: Mommy-Daughter Walk at Estádio Universitário in Lisbon.

Holiday lazy mode is allowed

I’m sharing this because so many people feel guilty at the end of the year. The routine breaks, the discipline drops, and suddenly it feels like everything is ruined. For me, this is real life. Sometimes you are consistent. Sometimes you slow down. Sometimes you just rest and enjoy your home.

If you are also in holiday mode, I hope you are not beating yourself up. In a couple of days, life goes back to normal. You go back to your workouts, you go back to work, you go back to your rhythm. That reset is part of the process.

What I’m wishing you for 2026

For 2026, I wish you peace, health, love, and yes, money too. I’m not going to pretend money does not matter. It makes life easier. It gives freedom. It gives options.

And one more thing that matters a lot at this time of year. Do not take people for granted. Tell them you love them. Be present while you can.

Back to normal, with no guilt

This is your reminder that being lazy sometimes is forgivable. Rest is allowed. Enjoying your life is allowed. Then you go back to moving your body and taking care of yourself, because health matters.

When you’re ready to restart, I’ve got home workouts on my YouTube channel here.

Are you also in holiday mode, or are you already resetting in January? Tell me in the comments. Happy New Year, people!
