Good morning! And what day is it today?! PARTY DAY! Solinca Open Air Body Pump Mega Class! I am SO EXCITED! Like when I was younger and couldn’t wait for the school field trip! SO GOOD! For those of you not coming to the Open Air… I wish you… a GOOD SATURDAY! (if that’s even possible without this.)

Body Pump
Have I mentioned that Solinca events are the best? No? I seriously doubt that!
The weather delivered: sun and warmth! The welcome area was 5 stars! I greeted some familiar faces, picked up my t-shirt, and made my way to one of the available steps. I immediately spotted 2 of the event’s star instructors (in my eyes, at least).
Introductions done, we got started. The instructors’ outfits were impeccable! I love the attention they give to that detail at every single event. The visual effect is really beautiful!
I have to be honest, I probably trained about 40% of the time. The rest I spent capturing this magnificent event on camera.
The highlights:
WARM-UP (Michele Ribeiro and Raquel Gomes): We were fired up from the very first minute! What powerful women!
SQUATS (Igor Angélico and Joanna Fillipa): Igor’s energy throughout the class, his signature “elbow to knee!” cue, and Joanna who was absolutely ON FIRE! VERY NICE!
CHEST (Gonçalo Jerónimo and Sadjo Buaro): Loved the track, but those push-ups, people.
BACK (Raquel Gomes and João Boa Vida): Raquel Gomes is something else entirely! What ENERGY! And the beauty of this track was in the battle cries echoing back and forth between the students. SPECTACULAR!
TRICEPS (Tiago Aleixo and Miguel Gouveia): So much fun, great energy, and push-ups… so many, many push-ups…
BICEPS (André Godinho and Fernando Veiga): The music was incredible! I managed to sneak in a few little dance moves (I was absolutely buzzing!) and witnessed the most magnificent footwork display from Mr. André himself. What makes it even more incredible is that he never once lost the arm movements. Coordination on another level!
LUNGES (Catarina Gomes and Marisa Cunha): LOVED this track, especially one brief moment from a certain Mr. Igor who, despite keeping a lower profile on stage, managed to stand out completely by breaking into a little dance. INCREDIBLE!
SHOULDERS (Lúcio Naranjo and Michele Ribeiro): Seriously intense, especially during the push-up section. After everything else today…
CORE (Inês Bernardo and Artur Luzhanskyy): Really enjoyed this one, especially now that I can get through these exercises with relative ease.
The morning was PHENOMENAL. So many familiar, friendly faces, photos taken, new people met, sunshine soaked up, training done, sweat earned, and above all, I had the BEST time!
SUZIKE HAPPY? CHECK!
